7th Infect-Net Network Meeting
The 7th Infect-Net meeting will be held on September 22 and 23, 2026, at the University of Würzburg and will be hosted by Franziska Faber and Stefanie Kampmeier.
Program Highlights
The scientific Keynote lecture will be given by Katharina Höfer from Marburg University, who will speak about RNAs as a Social Molecule: Covalent RNA-Protein Networks in Phage Infection.
There will also be a talk by Claudia Peus, founding director of the Institute for LifeLong Learning at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Her talk will be complemented by a podium discussion moderated by Infect-Net founder Gabriele Pradel.
Further highlights are an interactive session with Lisa Tölle, who is the project leader of Moms@Science, a BMFTR-funded initiative that aims to increase visibility of female scientists with children and to develop sustainable measures that improve their working conditions.
Registration
Everyone—especially female students and scientists—is welcome to attend!
There is a registration fee of 80 euros for group leaders and postdocs, but everyone else can attend for free.

Infect-Net is the German Association of Women in Infection Research and is committed to building a sustainable network of women in infectious disease research in Germany to increase their visibility and active participation in science policy.
Following the recent official founding of the ‘Association of German Women Infection Researchers - Infect-Net’, the network has taken an important step toward long-term equality in infection research. Therefore, this meeting will help shape the future structure and activities of Infect-Net through several planned interactive sessions.
