Würzburg Life Science Seminar: Eckhard Jankowsky
We are pleased to announce Eckhard Jankowsky as the next speaker of the Würzburg Life Science Seminar on Tuesday, July 28 at 5 PM in Building D15, room 01.002-004.
Dr Eckhard Jankowsky - “Quantitative RNA Biochemistry and mRNA Medicines”
In his seminar, Eckhard Jankowsky will highlight key themes from his academic and industry work, which has focused on quantitatively understanding RNA biology and on developing RNA-based medicines. He will discuss insights gained from studying enzyme complexes that act on RNA, from quantitatively and analytically assessing specificity of RNA-protein interactions, from devising quantitative, predictive models based on complex sequencing data, and from developing mRNA-based vaccines and therapeutics. He will emphasize broad themes related to building models and extracting value from high-throughput datasets, and outline future directions for mRNA-based medicines.
