Prof Lukas Wisgrill - "Born to Be Exposed: How the Early-Life Exposome Impacts Preterm Development"
The main focal point of the Wisgrill lab is the co-evolution of microbes and the human immune system. Since the metabolic influences underlying the neurological and immunological development of infants and children remain elusive, the group investigates the gut-microbiome-brain-axis of extremely premature and term infants, by employing systems immunology approaches.
