We cordially invite you to the seminar by Margaret Scull, “Mucin-Virus Interactions: New Insights into Innate Airway Defense”. The talk will take place in Building D15, room 01.002-004.

Prof Margaret Scull - “Mucin-Virus Interactions: New Insights into Innate Airway Defense”

The Scull lab primarily focuses on the interaction of respiratory viruses, such as SARS-CoV-2 and influenza, with their target cells. By shedding light on how the underlying innate defence mechanisms of epithelial cells create a barrier to infection, they aim to understand why certain people are more susceptible to infection, have more severe outcomes, and discover novel therapeutic agents.
