Dr Manfred Wolter visits HIRI

On July 21, the Helmholtz Institute Würzburg (HIRI) welcomed Dr Manfred Wolter, Head of the Department of Innovation, Research, Technology, Digitalization at the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, to the Medical Campus.

The visit began with a tour of the construction site of the future institute building. Together with representatives from HIRI, Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) and the University Hospital Würzburg (UKW), Wolter gained insight into the current progress of the construction project and the scientific infrastructure being developed there.

Following the tour of the new building, the guests had an opportunity to exchange impressions and continue their discussions. During the subsequent exchange, he learned more about HIRI’s development, its research focus areas and the institute’s strategic importance for Würzburg as a research hub.

The visit concluded with further discussions with representatives of UKW and scientific partner institutions in Würzburg.
