Dr Kristina Popova
Kristina obtained her PhD in Biochemistry from the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry in Munich in December 2014. She worked on deciphering the folding pathway of a protein substrate inside the chaperonin GroEL/ES in E.coli. For a while upon completing her PhD, Kristina worked as a science journalist in London. She joined the Vogel lab as a Post Doc in 2018 where she is currently designing and investigating the mechanism of antisense nucleic acid therapeutics against Salmonella. Outside of the lab, Kristina enjoys spending her time around nature and reading.
