Dr Regan Hayward

Regan Hayward obtained his PhD in bioinformatics at the University of Technology Sydney (Australia) in 2020. During his PhD he examined host-pathogen interactions using dual RNA-seq, and host-specific responses through single-cell RNA-seq and chromatin accessibility dynamics. He joined the Barquist lab in July 2020 as a Postdoctoral researcher, where he works on applying direct RNA-sequencing to examine bacterial transcription to further understand regulatory processes and the underlying transcriptional architecture.
