Jiaqi Yu

Jiaqi completed her MSc in Cell Biology at Shandong University in China in 2016. Before joining HIRI, she worked as a project engineer in Singapore to perform comparative genomic analysis and CRISPR-based editing in filamentous fungi for metabolic enhancement. She joined the Beisel lab as a Technical Assistant in May 2019. Her job is to help advance a funded project on developing CRISPR-based antimicrobials against the bacterial pathogen Klebsiella pneumoniae. Outside of the lab, Jiaqi enjoys spending time cooking and hiking with friends.
