Matthias Zimmer

About

Matthias obtained his Master’s degree in biochemistry from Martin-Luther University in Halle. He used to work on eukaryotic translation initiation and diverged into environmental microbiology/virology at the university of British Columbia after his master’s. In 2018 he returned to the molecular field by joining Neva Caliskan’s lab for his PhD. Here, he studies the regulation of programmed ribosomal frameshifting.
