Oliver Dietrich completed his MSc in Biology at the University of Würzburg in 2019. He joined the group of Emmanuel Saliba in 2018 for his master's thesis, where he was trained in bioinformatics for the analysis of single-cell transcriptomics. He started his PhD in November 2019 and worked on the identification of disease-associated cellular states in COVID-19 and multiple myeloma. Currently, his work is focused on the integration of clinical samples to investigate the association of cellular states with disease outcome. He is also involved in the implementation and maintenance of the Infection Atlas. Outside of the lab, he enjoys bouldering, hiking and playing football.
