Phuong Thao Do

About

After her first MSc in Applied Biology in Human and Animal Physiology from University of Science, Vietnam National University in 2017, Phuong Thao Do headed a research team developing active pharmaceutical ingredients focusing on gene-to-therapy for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. She then obtained her second MSc in Microbiology/Virology from the University of Würzburg in March 2021. Her MSc project in the Faber lab focused on the establishment of programmable antibiotics using Peptide Nucleic Acids (PNAs) in Clostridioides difficile. At HIRI she joined the Vogel lab in April 2021 as a researcher, continuing working on developing programmable antimicrobials using RNA-directed antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs).
