Shuba Varshini Alampalli


Shuba is from Bengaluru, India, where she completed her MSc in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology. She’s worked as a research assistant on a range of projects at the interface of bioinformatics and infection biology at the Indian Institute of Science. She joined the Barquist lab in 2019 and is currently working on analysing and interpreting RNA-seq data from animal models of Salmonella infection, with a focus on the effects of bacterial RNA-binding proteins during infection.
