Uddhav completed his Master of Science with a specialization in virology at the University of Pune (India) in 2014. Following his Master’s degree, he worked at IISER, Pune (India) on a variety of projects including research on microRNAs and the exploitation of peptide nucleic acid (PNAs) for use in cellular imaging. He joined the Smyth lab in 2018. Supported by a German academic exchange service (DAAD) fellowship, he is now working towards a better understanding of the molecular restrictions of influenza virus reassortment. Outside the lab, he loves spending time playing cricket and volleyball.
