Dr Sarah Miercke

Sarah Miercke obtained her PhD in microbiology from the Technical University of Dresden (Germany) in February 2026. During her doctoral studies, she investigated post-transcriptional regulation of cannibalism in Bacillus subtilis. In April 2026, she joined the Hör lab as a postdoctoral researcher, where she focuses on bacterial immunity against RNA phages.
