We cordially invite you to Brice Felden's talk "sRNA-encoded peptides in bacterial pathogens : Inspiration for novel antibiotics effective against MDR bacteria with limited resistance". The talk will take place in Building D15, room 01.002-004 at 5pm.
Prof Brice Felden - "sRNA-encoded peptides in bacterial pathogens : Inspiration for novel antibiotics effective against MDR bacteria with limited resistance"
Prof Brice Felden is Professor of Pharmaceutical Biochemistry at the Universite de Rennes 1.
His overall research interest lies on bacterial regulatory RNAs & medicine. With his lab, he aims to discover new regulatory RNAs, identify their targets, understand how they are regulated and what they are used for. They use high throughput technologies (RNAseq, MAPS) to understand, on clinical isolates, how these sRNAs facilitate the transition from commensalism to infection. Their study models are S. aureus, E. faecium, as well as enterobacteria.
