RNA Seminar: David Corey

04.02.2020 17:00 Würzburg, Germany

We cordially invite you to David Corey's talk "Mechanisms and Applications of RNA interference". The talk will take place in Building D15, room 01.002-004 at 5pm.

Prof David Corey - "Mechanisms and Applications of RNA interference"

David Corey is Full Professeur of Pharmacology and Biochemistry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas (USA) and holder of the Rusty Kelley Professorship in Medical Science.

His lab is interested in a wide spectrum of projects at the interface of chemistry and biology. One primary focus is the study of how nucleic acids and nucleic acid mimics recognize target molecules inside cells. Their goal is to develop new strategies for manipulating gene expression that will, first of all, provide insights into important natural processes and how they are regulated by endogenous nucleic acids, secondly, facilitate laboratory research, and thirdly, lay the foundation for drug development.
