RNA Seminar: Gunter Meister
We cordially invite you to Gunter Meister's talk as part of our RNA Seminar series. The talk will take place in Building D15, room 01.002-004 at 5pm.
Prof Gunter Meister - tba
Gunter Meister is professor and chair for Biochemistry at the University of Regensburg.
His research is primarily focused on the investigation of non-coding RNA pathways in mammalian cells. In parallel to the biochemical characterization of small RNA pathways in mammalian cells, they use RNA cloning and deep sequencing to profile short and long non-coding RNAs in cancer. In addition, his lab has also started to identify and characterize RNA binding proteins that interact with specific miRNA precursor molecules. Finally, they characterize specific modifications on RNA molecules.
