Prof Sara Richter - “Presence and targeting of G-quadruplexes in viruses”
Prof. Richter’s main research interests are G-quadruplexes, i-Motifs and non-canonical nucleic acid structures that are emerging as key cellular regulators. According to her multidisciplinary education, her research spans from structure investigation and identification of the presence and biological roles of non-canonical nucleic acids in viruses, bacteria, cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, to screening and development of small molecules for the treatment of associated diseases.
