Würzburg Life Science Seminar: Christian L. Müller

21.04.2026 17:00 Helmholtz Institute Würzburg, Josef-Schneider-Str. 2/D15, 97080 Würzburg, Germany

We cordially invite you to the seminar by Christian L. Müller, “What Can Data Science Do for You? From Bacterial Single Cells to Growth Prediction”. The talk will take place in Building D15, room 01.002-004.

Prof Christian L. Müller - “What Can Data Science Do for You? From Bacterial Single Cells to Growth Prediction”

The Müller lab develops and applies computational statistics and data science methods to the analysis of biological systems. They particularly focus on microbial ecosystems and their interactions with the host and the environment, including the human microbiome. To understand the complex interplay in living systems, the group analyzes multi-omics high-throughput data, in particular amplicon and metagenomic sequencing data, using tools from high-dimensional statistics, network inference, compositional data analysis and their deep learning counterparts.
