Würzburg Life Science Seminar: Danny Incarnato
We cordially invite you to the seminar by Danny Incarnato, “Transcriptome-scale mapping of RNA secondary structure ensembles in living cells”. The talk will take place in Building D15, room 01.002-004, at 5 pm.
Prof Danny Incarnato - “Transcriptome-scale mapping of RNA secondary structure ensembles in living cells”
The Incarnato lab studies RNA structural ensembles and their dynamics in living cells. Secondary and tertiary structure is crucial to the ability of RNA to perform complex biological functions such as catalysis, regulation of gene expression, and macromolecular scaffolding, making the understanding of how it folds a key need. Thanks to recent advances in experimental and computational methods, it is now becoming possible to decipher the true extent of RNA structural heterogeneity in living cells. During his talk entitled ‘Transcriptome-scale mapping of RNA secondary structure ensembles in living cells’, Danny will discuss some of these advances and the recent findings they enabled in the context of viral and bacterial RNAs.
