Würzburg Life Science Seminar: Claire Smith
We cordially invite you to the seminar by Claire Smith, “Age-specific nasal epithelial responses to SARS-CoV-2 infection”. The talk will take place in Building D15, room 01.002-004, at 5 pm.
Dr Claire Smith - “Age-specific nasal epithelial responses to SARS-CoV-2 infection”
Dr. Smith's current research explores how respiratory viruses target the airway and how the immune cells (neutrophils) recruited as the airway's first line of defense contribute to viral clearance or damage. Dr. Smith has expertise in primary human epithelial respiratory virus infection models, including RSV, influenza virus, and SARS-CoV-2. Her work on age-specific nasal epithelial responses to SARS-CoV-2 infection has recently been published in Nature Microbiology.
