Würzburg Life Science Seminar: Molly Ingersoll

13.05.2025 17:00 Helmholtz Institute Würzburg, Josef-Schneider-Str. 2/D15, 97080 Würzburg, Germany

We cordially invite you to the seminar by Molly Ingersoll. The talk will take place in Building D15, room 01.002-004, at 5 pm.

Molly Ingersoll’s research focuses on how inflammation shapes mucosal immunity in the bladder, with the goal of developing host-directed therapies for urinary tract infection (UTI) and bladder cancer. Her group investigates how innate immune responses, sex-based differences, and the bladder microenvironment influence long-term immunity and disease outcome. By targeting host pathways instead of relying on antibiotics, her work aims to improve treatment for multi-drug resistant UTI. In parallel, her team is developing new immunotherapeutic strategies to enhance T cell responses and overcome resistance to bladder cancer treatments such as BCG.
