Würzburg Life Science Seminar: Nils Walter
We cordially invite you to Nils Walter's talk "Bacterial Riboswitches are Finely Balanced Fulcrums Integrating Signals for Robust Transcription Regulation". The talk will take place in Building D15, room 01.002-006 at 5pm. Nils Walter will give this semester's "RNA Salon Lecture".
Nils Walter - "Bacterial Riboswitches are Finely Balanced Fulcrums Integrating Signals for Robust Transcription Regulation"
Nils Walter’s research is highly interdisciplinary and the lab combines state-of-the-art biochemical, molecular biology, and biophysical approaches. For instance, they investigate functionally active and inactive conformations of single ncRNA molecules using single-molecule imaging. They also utilize this technique to follow the movement of the ribosome on a secondary structured mRNA, including riboswitch motifs that utilize an aptamer domain to recognize a specific ligand and affect downstream gene expression.
