Dr Anke Sparmann

About

Anke Sparmann obtained her PhD at the State University of New York at Stony Brook (USA), where she studied the interplay between tumor growth and inflammation. During a post-doctoral period at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) in Amsterdam, her work focused on chromatin dynamics during stem cell differentiation. In 2012, she started a career as scientific editor at The EMBO Journal, transitioning to the editorial teams of Nature Communications and Nature Structural & Molecular Biology shortly after. Anke joined the HIRI in 2021 as scientific writer, supporting our researchers during grant applications, manuscript preparation and the publication process.
