About

Thomas Guest received his PhD from the University of Birmingham (UK) in 2021. During his PhD, he characterized the function of a transcription factor regulating biofilm formation in Vibrio cholerae. He then did a postdoc at Umeå University (Sweden), studying the cell wall biology of the plant pathogen Agrobacterium tumefaciens. He joined the Westermann lab in July 2023 to investigate how cis-antisense RNAs control Bacteroides metabolism.
