Art stimulates our imagination. Science makes us understand.
We cordially invite you to the exhibition "HIRI meets Alkymi Materialbar" at the Würzburg Helmholtz Institute for RNA-based Infection Research.
Anastasia Meid and Magdalena Skala study information design at the Faculty of Design Würzburg (FHWS) and are the founders of the Alkymi Materialbar.
The HIRI supported the two designers in their exploration of the pigment-producing bacteria Janthinobacterium lividum and Arthrobacter agilis.
The focus of their biodesign project is to combine environmentally friendly textile dyeing with a potential medical application.
After the opening event on Febuary 18th, 2020 the exhibition will be shown in the foyer of building D15 until March 3, 2020.
