Würzburg Life Science Seminar: Ramesh Pillai
We cordially invite you to Ramesh Pillai's talk "Gene regulation by RNA modifications". The talk will take place in Building D15, room 01.002-004, at 5 pm.
Prof Ramesh Pillai - "Gene regulation by RNA modifications"
The Ramesh lab seeks to understand the molecular mechanisms involved in the regulation of gene expression by RNA modifications and noncoding RNAs. Using model systems and a variety of methodologies ranging from protein biochemistry, cell biology, and animal genetics to computational biology and structural biology, the lab investigates the cellular functions of RNA modifications. The lab also has a long-standing interest in small non-coding RNAs, called Piwi-interacting RNAs (piRNAs), which constitute a defense mechanism against mobile genetic elements within the germline.
