Dr Willow Kion-Crosby

About

Willow Kion-Crosby received his PhD at Rutgers University (USA) in Physics & Astronomy in 2019. He studied codon usage bias by explicit biophysical and population genetic modeling, and developed a Bayesian inference method to examine the statistical properties of complex networks. After a brief postdoc at Sapienza University (Italy) studying emergent phenomena in the collective behavior of animal populations, he joined the research group of Lars Barquist in September 2020. Here, he is developing an autoencoder-based transfer learning technique for the analysis of emergent bacterial pathogens.
