Isabell completed her training as a biological technical assistant (BTA) at the Berufsfachschule für biologisch-technische Assistenten (Nuremberg, Germany). Since then she has worked in several research groups within the Biocenter at the University of Würzburg. During this time, she has obtained extensive experience in molecular biology, human genetics and protein-biochemistry, and performing routine diagnostic tests. In January 2022, she joined the Beisel lab to support the development of a new CRISPR-based diagnostic platform. Outside of the lab, Isabell enjoys spending time with family and friends and being outdoors.
