Sara Giddins

About

Sara Giddins obtained her MSc in infection biology and virology at the University of Würzburg in 2023. During that time, she investigated the effects of inflammation and commensal bacterial colonization on the barrier integrity of an organoid-derived small intestinal monolayer. In 2023, she joined the Faber lab as a PhD student under the Decisions in Infectious Disease (DECIDE) Collaborative Research Center. Her current research focuses on investigating colon epithelial physiology as a decision point in the initiation of toxin-induced Clostridioides difficile colitis.
