Tatjana Achmedov
About
Tatjana Achmedov began her career as a biology teacher before transitioning to a research career. She initially worked at the Institute for Molecular Infection Biology (IMIB) at the University of Würzburg. In 2018, she joined the HIRI and became part of the Beisel group, where she was responsible for organizing the laboratory. She contributed to research projects involving the cell-free TXTL system, cloning techniques, and RNA analysis. In July 2026, she joined the newly founded research group of Camilla Ciolli Mattioli, where she supports the lab with her expertise in RNA and intracellular infection techniques, as well as lab organization. Outside of the lab, Tanja enjoys spending time with her family, playing volleyball, and making decorations.
