A festive day of science

The second meeting of the RNAmed students was a festive occasion with cookies and gingerbread.

Shortly before Christmas, the RNAmed students met in Würzburg to share insights about their own doctoral projects for the first time. These reflect the great professional diversity of the RNAmed partners: projects cover a wide spectrum, from the development of novel formulations of RNA drugs to the therapeutic use of "gene scissors" in heart diseases and work on RNA viruses. The ground is now well prepared for interdisciplinary collaboration in the future.

After the exchange on December 19, the RNAmed students had the opportunity to ask Professor Mark Helm from Mainz exclusively about his career before attending his lecture on RNA modifications at the HIRI. The day ended on a cozy note with mulled wine at the Würzburg Christmas market.
