Successful disputation of Matthias Zimmer

HIRI PhD student defended his dissertation

On October 24, Matthias Zimmer successfully defended his doctoral dissertation. Matthias joined the HIRI in 2018 and conducted his doctoral project in the Recoding Mechanisms in Infections research group with principal investigator and primary supervisor Neva Caliskan. In the Caliskan lab, he studied the regulation of programmed ribosomal frameshifting.

Matthias already holds a subsequent agreement: he will continue to do research in the Caliskan group.
