Christina Homberger defended her doctoral dissertation

On July 20, Christina Homberger successfully defended her doctoral dissertation on bacterial single-cell RNA-sequencing. Christina gained experience in various sequencing technologies before she joined the HIRI in 2019. She conducted her doctoral project in the RNA Biology of Bacterial Infections research group with principal investigator and primary supervisor Jörg Vogel. In the Vogel lab, she has been working on developing single-cell RNA-seq methods for prokaryotes.
