On November 28, Lukáš Pekárek successfully defended his doctoral dissertation. Lukáš joined the Helmholtz Institute Würzburg in 2019. He conducted his doctoral project in the Recoding Mechanisms in Infections research group with principal investigator and primary supervisor Neva Caliskan. In the Caliskan lab, he has been working on the use of single-molecule techniques to unveil the mechanisms of programmed ribosomal frameshifting.
