JMU PhD award for Jens Hör

Member of the Vogel Group has just been awarded

For his outstanding dissertation on "Discovery of RNA/protein complexes by Grad-seq," life and health scientist Jens Hör has just received the 2021 joint PhD award of the Lower Franconian Memorial Year Foundation for Science and the University of Würzburg (JMU). Hör has been a member of Jörg Vogel's lab at the Helmholtz Institute for RNA-based Infection Research since 2015 and has conducted research here for his PhD thesis.

For more than 50 years, the PhD award has honored outstanding theses that deal thematically with the region of Lower Franconia, whose authors are from Lower Franconia or have completed their PhD studies at JMU Würzburg. The award is funded with 500 euros.
