RNAmed receives funding until 2030

More research for RNA medicines of the future

After the proposal to extend the program was positively reviewed by an expert panel and subsequently evaluated by the international commission of the Elite Network of Bavaria (ENB), we are delighted to announce: Following the first funding period, the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts will continue to fund the international graduate program, “RNAmed — Future Leaders in RNA-Based Medicine,” from December 1, 2026, to November 30, 2030.

“RNAmed students appreciate the comprehensive training in an RNA-centered, multidisciplinary environment and the excellent opportunities to network with top researchers in the field. The continued funding will allow us to refine our established concept, making it even stronger and more visible,” says program coordinator Christian Fröschel.

The call for applications for the second cohort of doctoral students is expected to be published in spring 2026.

We would like to thank the ENB for its trust and support and wish everyone involved in the program continued success!
