RNAmed— Future Leaders in RNA-based Medicine is a unique international graduate training programme that is jointly run by four Bavarian universities in Würzburg, Munich and Regensburg. Funded by the Elite Network of Bavaria, it has been running since 2022 and grown to involve 22 PhD students and 18 PIs. RNAmed takes a holistic approach to training in the rapidly expanding field of RNA-based medicine, covering:

- • CRISPR-Cas
- • microRNAs and siRNAs
- • Noncoding RNA
- • RNA biology
- • RNA chemistry
- • RNA modification and delivery
We are now about to recruit the next cohort of students for the January 2027 – December 2030 period. We will shortly advertise 11 fully funded PhD positions (4 years) and welcome outstanding applicants of all nationalities holding a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in the life sciences, chemistry, medicine, pharmaceutical sciences, or related disciplines.
